The team was formed in November 2005 with a handful of five and six year olds playing at the local park with no real equipment of their own.
However, under the guidance of Paul Foulkes, Jamie Tibbles and Paul May, more players were encouraged to join and the team entered the Leicestershire Mutual League for the 2006/07 season.
Playing in the Under 7s league proved difficult at first and the boys began the season with some heavy defeats. However, by the time the season had reached its mid point, their first victory had been achieved in the shape of a 4-0 defeat of Lutterworth Junior & Youth FC and the second half of the season saw improved results against every opponent resulting in the boys finishing the season in a creditable fifth place.
During the close season, the boys picked up their first trophy when they reached the final of the Coupe de Lutterworth.
The Under 8s campaign was a memorable one. Placed in division 10, the team went through the entire campaign with a 100% record, scoring 67 goals in the process and conceding only four. The season began and ended with 10-0 victories but the highlight came at Barlestone who eventually finished as runners up but were brushed aside 8-0.
By now the squad had grown in numbers and it was decided to enter two teams for the Under 9 season and the teams were renamed as the Fire and Flames. The Fire had another strong season. Promoted up to division 6, the team battled well against much stronger opposition and were still fighting for the title with two games to go before eventually settling for 3rd place. The Flames began in much the same way as the Under 7s had began with some heavy defeats, but once again, performances improved as the season went on and despite not winning any matches in Division 10, there were some good signs for the future.
As the boys enter their last season in Mini Football, they will have three teams entered for the new season with the Heat becoming the third side to join the league.
